About me

Hello! I'm Rocío., I was born in 1983 in the beautiful city of Cartagena (Murcia)and it is in it where my roots and branches grew. I'll tell you a little about my life story in case you feel synchronicity when reading this.

He love for photography It's been with me my whole life. I was always a creative, sensitive, and animal-loving girl. That made me grab the film camera at home and spend the afternoon taking pictures of my dogs.

My love for photography continued, and with my first salary, I bought my first digital camera, and in 2009, my first DSLR. It wasn't until 2011, during my pregnancy, when, in a burst of loyalty to myself, I left my permanent job as a security guard and the police exam I was preparing for, to turn my passion for photography into my professional vocation.

This led me to be the First photographer in the Region specializing in artistic newborn photographyMy son has been my greatest source of inspiration ever since.

The year 2015 marked my life. I got divorced and saw my close friend fall ill and pass away. I was immersed in my grieving process when, in an attempt to let go and heal, I began taking self-portraits. Thanks to their therapeutic power, I began to understand myself. I began to BE free.

In 2020, shaken by the pandemic, I discovered my purpose of life hidden behind self-portraits, and I studied a master's degree in coaching and NLP with which I help other people improve their self-esteem through photography, and enhance their personal brand with my sessions.

In this self-portrait we see my 1984 self and my 2020 self.I feel like my greatest success working with children is that she's still very much alive inside me.

Every personal crisis I have experienced not only came to take me out of the comfortable places where I no longer grew, but also to be my own brand, she He also transformed with me. I have had to leave behind sessions that no longer worked and with which I was not in coherence, but that left room for the most creative part that lived within me; photo embroidery.

With him, I learned that we are a system connected by invisible threads. That a photograph can be given new meaning by intervening with a needle and thread. That it's an ancient and ancient art. And that, thanks to him, I finally consider myself an artist.

I couldn't finish telling you about myself without also telling you about them: my teachers.

Lua was my companion for 13 years, and after her death, I learned from her the importance of giving visibility to animal grief and that connections go beyond the skin and this life.

Alfa arrived in 2021 to change all my beliefs about cats and taught me that a morning walk with Lua can rewrite a family's history.

Onyx is my rainbow after the storm, my dream witch cat, and she has come to teach me about love and patience.

I hope that if you've made it this far, you've felt the synchronicity needed for us to create something together.
